Motorcycle Hire in Scotland - Honda Goldwing
We offer the ultimate touring motorcycle - the Honda Goldwing GL1500SE Aspencade for hire.
The ultimate tourer as it has everything that you require on a touring motorcycle, and much more.
We introduce this motorcycle touring experience in order to offer different ways of visiting and exploring the length and breadth of Scotland, the UK and further afield if you so wish.
We are part of Freedom of Scotland Motorhome Hire, and can offer the benefits of assistance before, during and after your hire. We normally hire motorhomes, but decided in 2008 to offer motorcycles for hire, and will start with the Goldwing.
The Honda Goldwing Aspencade.
It’s got power, unequalled cargo space, a sophisticated audio system, adjustable windshield, variable suspension and ventilation, and other unique features to provide maximum convenience and comfort. It has been thoughtfully upgraded by its owners, and is now a stunning and head turning example of the genre.
It would be easier to say what it has not got, rather than a dead-pan list of its features. It doesn’t have drive along TV or Video. Other than that it’s got the lot. Now the dead pan list of features:
- Honda Goldwing GL 1500 SE (American Import)
- Jet Black in colour with chrome everywhere to make it look stunning
- 1500cc engine with 6 speed gearbox including reverse gear
- Water cooled and shaft driven
- Cruise Control
- Impressive night-lighting system.
- Sat Nav installed in front of driver
- Fully integrated alarm system
- Radio/Cassette/ 4 Speaker surround sound system
- Drivers Intercom connections (where applicable)
- Foot operated front and rear braking system
- CB Radio system
- Manually assisted suspension systems
- Heated foot vents
- Three full panniers with Goldwing extractable bags
- Cigarette lighter socket!!! that will power suitable MP3 players etc
- No figures for speed and acceleration provided here. It’s not a racer; it’s just the ultimate cruising machine.
- Fuel is slightly heavy, usually about £14 per tank (at early 2009 prices).
- Rear (Queen) seat passenger can read books while cruising as there is very little wind turbulence to driver or passenger.
This is a very large bike and not for the unprepared or inexperienced. All hirers will be vetted for their suitability to tour on the Goldwing – it is not for inexperienced m/c riders or riders who have no experience of bikes above 500cc. We would not like to be instrumental in anyone injuring themselves on one of our hire vehicles. I hope that you understand our point of view.
All riders should be over 30 years of age. Riders who are between 25 – 29 years, please add £5 to the daily rate figures. All prices include comprehensive hire insurance. Discounts are available for hires exceeding 10 days. We have a small selection of crash helmets.
